1: insulation resistance
Insulation resistance refers to the resistance value presented by applying voltage to the insulating part of the aviation plug, so as to produce leakage current in or on the surface of the insulating part. It is mainly affected by insulation materials, temperature, humidity, contamination and other factors. The insulation resistance value provided on the sample of aviation plug is generally the index value under standard atmospheric conditions. In some environmental conditions, the insulation resistance value may decrease to an unspecified extent. Also pay attention to the insulation resistance of the test voltage value. Different voltages are applied according to the insulation resistance (M ω)= voltage applied to the insulator (V)/ leakage current (μA), resulting in different results. In the test of aviation plug, the voltage applied is generally 10V, 100V, 500V three grades.
Voltage resistance is the critical voltage between the insulating part of the contact pair or between the insulating part and the ground, which can withstand higher than the rated voltage in a specified time without causing breakdown phenomenon. It is mainly affected by contact on spacing and creepage distance and geometry, insulating materials and ambient temperature and humidity, atmospheric pressure.
Any aviation plug can not work without electric current, which is the risk of fire. Therefore, the aviation plug is not only required to prevent ignition, but also required to be self-extinguishing in a short time once ignition and fire. In the selection should pay attention to the use of flame-retardant, self-extinguishing insulating material of the aviation plug.
